Zusammenfassung:To the Editor: Anderson and colleagues have reported that survival of children and adolescents with disseminated non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (March 10 issue) was influenced by both the histologic subtype of the disease and the therapeutic regimen followed. 1 Modified LSA 2 -L 2 (a 10-drug regimen) was more effective in lymphoblastic lymphoma, whereas COMP (a 4-drug regimen) was more effective in nonlymphoblastic (undifferentiated Burkitt's, undifferentiated pleomorphic, and histiocytic) lymphoma. The undifferentiated and histiocytic lymphomas are a heterogeneous group cytologically, clinically, and immunologically but were analyzed as one group. 2 Because of this grouping the reader cannot evaluate the efficacy of COMP or LSA . . .
