Bu calisma, Izmir Korfezi'nde kayip ag problemi, nedenleri ve kayip ag yogunlugunun oldugu bolgeleri belirlemek amaciyla gerceklestirilmistir. Bu amacla, bolgede faaliyet gosteren balikcilar ve balikci kooperatifi baskanlari ile anket yapilmistir. Anket sonuclarina gore, Izmir Korfezi'nde 2002 yilinda yaklasik olarak 200-280 km. uzatma aginin cesitli nedenlerden dolayi kayboldugu tahmin edilmistir.
