A declaration and resolution of the Lords and Commons in Parliament In answer to the Scots declaration, presented unto them by the commissioners of the said kingdome, intimating unto them with what thankfulnesse they have perused their carefull and brotherly advice in desiring a happy union and conformity in both churches. Expressing that their purpose is to consult with a synod of godly and learned divines, that the hierarchall governement may not onely be removed, but another setled: as may be most agreeable to Gods holy word, most apt to procure and conserve the peace at home, and happy union with all other reformed churches abroad, that the miserable estate of church and kingdome may be made happy, by a setled union of religion. In all which the Lords and Commons are firmely assured by their reall demonstrations expressed in their said declaration, that their ayd and assistance shall not be wanting in furthering so good and pious a worke.
