Abstract 16082: Changes in the Expression of MicroRNAs From Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats Submitted to Aerobic Swimming Training May Be Involved in Coronary Artery Vascular Remodeling

We investigated in Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats (SHR) the expression of microRNAs and coronary artery vascular remodeling after 10 weeks of aerobic swimming training (SHR-t60 min/ day - 4% overload) and compared with the SHR sedentary and normotensive WKY control groups. All animal care and exper...

Zusammenfassung:We investigated in Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats (SHR) the expression of microRNAs and coronary artery vascular remodeling after 10 weeks of aerobic swimming training (SHR-t60 min/ day - 4% overload) and compared with the SHR sedentary and normotensive WKY control groups. All animal care and experimental procedure were in accordance with the National Institutes of Health Guidelines for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and approved by the local ethics committee of the University of São Paulo (n° 2013/01). Structural properties of isolated coronary arteries were studied with a pressure myograph and we observed an increase in wall thickness and wall-to-lumen ratio in SHR group compared with WKY (p
