Zusammenfassung:Tetragonal t‐YVO4, t‐GdVO4 and monoclinic m‐LaVO4 are widely known as host‐matrix materials for Ln3+‐lasant ions in high‐gain SRS‐active crystals. In this study, many phonon impulsive stimulated Raman scattering (ISRS) was excited under femtosecond pumping for these materials. All of the observed χ(3)‐non‐linear lasing components were attributed to the vibrations of the [VO4]3− structural units of these vanadates. The article gives a short review (in table form) of all known SRS‐active crystals with tetragonal zircon‐type (ZrSiO4) and monazite‐type (CePO4) structure and their observed χ(3)‐nonlinear optical effects.
