Assignment of the forbidden level of the Fermi doublet in the Raman spectrum of CH2Br2

The modified Winther method was used to analyse different assignments of the forbidden level νf in Fermi resonance with the symmetric CH2 stretch ν1 in CH2Br2. Of a set of five differnt combination levels, three were rejected and two plausible assignments are discussed.
