In order to check if the pharmacological activity is retained when the non‐substituted aromatic ring of the neuroleptics clothiapine (I) and octoclothepine (II) is saturated, we have prepared the trans‐hexahydro‐clothiapine XXIV and one of the two possible diastereoisomers each of cis and trans hexahydro‐octoclothepine XL and XLI.
