Direct Synthesis of Phenol from Benzene and O2, Regulated by NH3 on Pt/β and Pt-Re/ZSM-5 Catalysts

Best director: The direct synthesis of phenol from benzene and O2 was performed with 78–94 % selectivity on Pt/β and Pt‐Re/ZSM‐5 catalysts, regulated by NH3 (see figure, (1)). An alternating process (see figure, (2)‐1 and (2)‐2) afforded the selective synthesis of phenol with 83–99.8 % selectivity,...

Zusammenfassung:Best director: The direct synthesis of phenol from benzene and O2 was performed with 78–94 % selectivity on Pt/β and Pt‐Re/ZSM‐5 catalysts, regulated by NH3 (see figure, (1)). An alternating process (see figure, (2)‐1 and (2)‐2) afforded the selective synthesis of phenol with 83–99.8 % selectivity, whilst minimizing the consumption of NH3.
