13C-ENDOR Investigation of an Organic Tetraradical in the Quintet State; Synthesis of a Fourfold 13C-Labeled Tetrakisgalvinol
K13CN was used as the source of 13C in the significantly improved synthesis of the tetrakisgalvinol 1. The quintet state of the tetraradical of 1 was unequivocally confirmed by the measured 13 C hyperfine coupling parameters as well as the multiplicity of the EPR spectrum.
