Zusammenfassung:Today the importance of data ethics is increasing due to the profound impact of data on business performance. Fundamentally, data ethics is the responsible and sustainable use of data. As enterprises today are realizing a new reality where customers and other stakeholders want to have good understanding of what companies are doing with their personal data. A key ethical responsibility that comes with handling data these days is handling personal identifiable information (PII) data. Given that handling PII data is risky and complex, it is always better to collect and manage minimal amounts of PII data. Ethical data management includes defining ownership of data, obtaining consent from users to collect and share data especially their PII data, reducing model and data drifts, working on relevant data, and last but not the least validating the AI and machine learning algorithms, by engaging the right business stakeholders.
