Zusammenfassung:There has been a global and continuous concern about sustainability for decades, and its educational aspect has not been neglected. The case of Spain in no different, mainly influenced by European instructions and policies. Therefore, concepts such as the environment, sustainability, and green chemistry have become more and more familiar in educational programs. However, the implementation of homogeneous and effective teaching is still a challenge (even at university level), needing the involvement of many actors like institutions, teachers, parents, and students. Nevertheless, down‐to‐earth attitudes focused on specific situations have been a priority in educational research, obtaining satisfactory results in order to create and keep a real and sustainable culture and contributing to a real and effective implementation of educational initiatives (awareness activities, transversal inclusion of contents, etc.) that, linked to educational curricula, can help the inclusion of approaches related to environmental, sustainable, and green processes.
