Zusammenfassung:A key purpose of practice development is to create an effective workplace culture that enables everyone to flourish, or put more simply, to create good places to work. This chapter focuses on work undertaken in Australia and the UK using the workplace for learning, development and innovation. It presents two case studies: implementing a person‐centred undergraduate nursing curriculum, and place‐based learning in a general practice context. Person‐centred theory, practices and principles have emerged as a framework for undergraduate nursing curricula and are increasingly adopted in higher education as an underpinning philosophy for education curricula. The enablers required for a good learning environment start with a shared vision and values that can flex and evolve. Strategies to demonstrate impact include service user feedback, standards reached as part of a registration or revalidation process, and assessment of competence in practice.
