Zusammenfassung: | This chapter describes the components of a basic commercial security system that come together to provide a functional intrusion‐detection and reporting system. This system includes an intelligent control panel connected by wires (or radio signals) to sensors at various locations throughout the facility. The control panel includes the electronic components and central processor, which monitors and controls the entire system. The center of any intelligent security system is the controller. The security controller is the command center and distribution point of the intrusion‐detection and reporting portion of the security system to which all input and output devices are connected. Each sensor receives power and is managed from the security controller. The chapter identifies the common sensor types employed in a physical intrusion‐detection system. It explains the purpose for creating physical security zones and common techniques for defining them. Finally, the chapter guides the readers how to secure the interior. |
