The ability of an organization to change its strategy and structure in an intelligent and purposeful way is ultimately limited by the willingness and ability of its people. This chapter turns to evolutionary biology, neurology, behavioral psychology and social psychology to explain how nature and nurture drive people to behave the way people do. The objective of the chapter is to identify the behaviors that help firms to become strategically smarter and encourage firm to pinpoint those people that holds firm back and also looks for the various ways to overcome them. |
