Driving, Employment, and Related Issues in Epilepsy

This chapter addresses epilepsy and driving and related issues, a major clinical and medicolegal concern worldwide. Driving restrictions for adults with epilepsy may decrease their potential for employment, and workplace safety concerns and employer‐employee discrimination may negatively impact quality of life. Knowledge of driving laws and laws designed to protect people with disabilities is important to both the person with epilepsy and those entrusted with their medical care.
