Zusammenfassung:Concept of conductor for superconducting magnet for L* detector is presented. Rated current is 50 kA at about 2.5 T. Operation current/critical current ratio is about 0.5. Stabilizer is copper clad aluminum of 99.995% purity. Superconducting cable is made by transposition of strands around normal metal core. Conductor is provided with pipes for helium circulation. Manufacturing aspects and conductor behavior during protective discharge are discussed.
