Zusammenfassung:— An isothermal subsolidus x – y – z phase diagram, a block diagram of invariant phase equilibria, and a model for the p – T projection of the p – T – x – y – z phase diagram of the Cd–Ga–As–Te system have been constructed using topological modeling based on the p–T – x phase diagrams of the six constituent binary systems and fragmentary data on the T – x – y phase diagrams of the four constituent ternary systems (isothermal sections, liquidus projections, and vertical sections). Equilibria involving the melt and vapor phase have been analyzed, and it has been shown that a Cd 3 As 2 –CdTe–GaAs composite can be in equilibrium with both cadmium vapor and arsenic vapor. It is proposed that a Ga(Cd) 2 Te(As) 3 solid solution having a relatively low volatility can find application along with the composite in question.
