The current developments and impact of land reclamation control in China

This paper first sorts out the historical development of China’s reclamation policy and identifies the development trends of reclamation control policy, then in Section 3, it explores the driving factors of reclamation control policy, and in Section 4 it summarizes the implication of the policy change and giving suggestions of future improvement. This study did a comprehensive analysis of China’s reclamation policy and new developments of China's reclamation management and control, its impact and trends. In the future, it’ll further analyze the economic, environmental and social effects of reclamation, and seek a balance between economic development and environmental protection. •This paper studied and analyzed the historical developments of the reclamation control policies, and identified a new stage of the reclamation policy.•This study did a comprehensive analysis of China’s reclamation policy, and summarized the trends of the developments.•This paper analyzed the driving factors of the changes in the reclamation policy, and gave suggestions of improvements of the future reclamation control policy.
