Zusammenfassung:•Solid tin shows retained hydrogen value which is 1/1000 of ion dose.•Retained hydrogen value in solid tin is increased with hydrogen ion dose.•The result suggests that tin shows retention which is smaller than carbon fiber composites and tungsten in our condition. In this study, the hydrogen retention properties of solid tin exposed to DC glow plasma were investigated using thermal desorption spectroscopy. The measurements were performed by varying the plasma exposure time from 0 (no exposure) to 40 min. The resulting retained hydrogen from the ion fluence of the plasma was quantified as ~10−3. The retained hydrogen increased with the exposure time.
