Zusammenfassung: | Genetic diversity of population is one of the major factor affecting breeding strategies. Utilize a wide genetic variation provides success in breeding program. However, the breeders have to do use restricted material to reach varieties, which are designed by them in some cases. This situation particularly comes out in disease resistance breeding studies especially regarding recessive or polygenic inheritance. In this study, genetic diversity of population, having limited size, created by using resistant PMR6 to powdery mildew. is investigated. Totally 106 inbred lines, produced from hack-cross between advanced lines which were used as female parents and PMR6. These inbred-lines were examined by using 29 morphological descriptors selected from IPGRI. Subjecting 25 of these lines to a special combination hybrid developed thirty hybrids. The yield and fruit quality characteristics of these hybrids were determined in spring 2019. Prominent 6 hybrids with control varieties were examined with the same criteria in autumn period. As a result of study we obtained two hybrids (T56xT77 and T96xT48) that candidate to be of variety with superior agronomic properties. Commercial registration work for these hybrids continues. |
