•NH2-MIL-53 composited membranes were prepared on modified polyvinylidene fluoride membranes.•The NH2-MIL-53/PVDF membranes displayed high rejection, and large permeability for dyes.•The NH2-MIL-53/PVDF membrane exhibited outstanding reusability and stability.
NH2-MIL-53 membranes were in situ prepared on modified polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) ultrafiltration membranes by solvothermal method for nanofiltration. The effect of reaction temperature, monomer concentrations and reaction time, as well as the reusability and stability of NH2-MIL-53/PVDF membranes, were studied. The membrane structure and performance could be conveniently tuned by reaction temperature, concentration, and reaction time. NH2-MIL-53/PVDF membranes displayed high rejection (>92%), large permeability (>500 L m−2h−1 MPa−1) and excellent stability for different dyes (Mw > 300) solutions, making them attractive candidates for dyes separations. |
