Zusammenfassung:In this study, Ag–Ni@MWCNTs nanocomposites with different Ag/Ni ratios have been prepared through a simple and effective chemical reduction strategy. Morphological, structural and elemental composition of the as-prepared nanocomposites has been examined by using SEM, TEM, EDS and XRD, respectively. Electrochemical study of all the samples was carried out via cyclic voltammetry. Successful synthesis, desired surface morphology and expected elemental composition of the obtained nanocomposites have been confirmed from the above mentioned analytical techniques. The Ag–Ni@MWCNTs nanocomposites show better electrocatalytic activity toward glucose oxidation owing to a greater number of active sites provided by support material (MWCNTs) and synergistic effect present among the atoms of Ag and Ni. The optimized Ag 1 –Ni 9 @MWCNTs catalyst displayed high sensitivity (1485 µA mM −1 cm −2 ), wide linear range (4 mM) and low limit of detection (7 µM) toward glucose sensing.
