Zusammenfassung: | Chromosome manipulation, such as gynogenetic induction, is an effective method in fish to quickly obtain high inbreeding coefficient which is useful for genetic breeding. Based on different induction protocols, there are two kinds of gynogenesis, meio-gynogenesis (MEG) and mito-gynogenesis (MIG), which retain high level of heterozygosity or theoretically homozygous. Until now, little is known about the growth and morphological differences between these two gynogenesis. The present study analyzed the growth and morphological characteristics of the MEG and MIG stocks in the olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus, an important maricultured fish. The results showed that the growth trends of both the MEG and MIG stocks at 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 months post hatching (mph) were similar to the control stock, and the inflection point of growth curve was at 12 mph. They all presented fast growth from 12 to 18 mph (P |
