Zusammenfassung: | Clinical Practice Points
Spontaneous regression can occur in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC).
We observed the spontaneous regression of multiple thoracic metastases from renal cell carcinoma after the palliative removal of only one lesion.
In highly selected cases, where a relevant clinical benefit might be expected, palliative metastasectomy should be considered for mRCC.
Markers of host immune status might help predicting the clinical course of mRCC. |
