Zusammenfassung: | Purpose
This study aimed to determine the correlation between smartphone addiction and loneliness levels in nursing students.
Design and Methods
The study has a descriptive and cross‐sectional study design and was carried out with 682 nursing students. In the study, a “Student Information Form”, the “Smartphone Addiction Scale‐Short Form”, and the “University of California Los Angeles Loneliness Scale” were used.
Findings
The study found that nursing students had moderate scores for smartphone addiction and lonelinessand that there was a positive correlation between smartphone addiction and loneliness.
Practical Implications
Nursing students are at risk of smartphone addiction and this may lead to negative psychosocial effects. Considering these results, interventions should be planned. |
