Methods: ln this publication, a new skin model assay for evaluating the projection capacity of HA fillers is presented, applied and discussed. Results: This skin model assay enables to efficiently assess the projection capacity of a HA filler product. The comparative evaluation of a product benefiting from the novel OXlFREE technology and Juvéderm Voluma shows a higher projection capacity for the OXlFREE product than for Juvéderm Voluma. Conclusion: This assay is demonstrated to be a key tool to guide physicians in the selection of products with high ability of tissue projection to optimize their aesthetic outcomes when they need to create facial volume. |
