The digital revolution has given rise to the new concept of “career orientation in the digital world of work”, which has prompted vocational education to upgrade and transform into the stage of smart vocational education. This paper explains the new concept of vocational education 4.0 in the context of Industry 4.0, analyzes the new trends of vocational education digital transformation in the new era and new journey, and proposes that the digital transformation of vocational education needs to rationally grasp “abandon” and “create change” based on the actual development of smart vocational education in China.
