Zusammenfassung:Large-scaIe and diverse businesses based on the cIoud computing pIatform bring the heavy network traffic to cIoud data centers. However, the unbaIanced workIoad of cIoud data cen-ter network easiIy Ieads to the network congestion, the Iow re-source utiIization rate, the Iong deIay, the Iow reIiabiIity, and the Iow throughput. In order to improve the utiIization efficiency and the quaIity of services (QoS) of cIoud system, especiaIIy to soIve the probIem of network congestion, we propose MTSS, a muIti-path traffic scheduIing mechanism based on software defined network-ing (SDN). MTSS utiIizes the data flow scheduIing flexibiIity of SDN and the muIti-path feature of the fat-tree structure to improve the traffic baIance of the cIoud data center network. A heuristic traf-fic baIancing aIgorithm is presented for MTSS, which periodicaIIy monitors the network Iink and dynamicaIIy adjusts the traffic on the heavy Iink to achieve programmabIe data forwarding and Ioad baIancing. The experimentaI resuIts show that MTSS outperforms equaI-cost muIti-path protocoI (ECMP), by effectiveIy reducing the packet Ioss rate and deIay. In addition, MTSS improves the utiIiza-tion efficiency, the reIiabiIity and the throughput rate of the cIoud data center network.
