Zusammenfassung:Changes in the activities of adrenocortical steroidogenic enzymes and in acid and alkaline phosphatase were observed in testis, prostate, and seminal vesicles of mature rats exposed to noise levels of 85 dB for 8 h/d during 45 d. Noise-exposed animals demonstrated substantial declines in activities of adrogenic key enzymes as well as increases in alkaline phosphatase activity relative to controls. Gonadosomatic, prostatosomatic, and seminal veisculo-somatic indices were significantly reduced in noise-exposed animals, confirming that noise exposure at 85 dB exerts a deleterious effect on testicular and adrenocortical activities.
