Zusammenfassung: | This study reveals that the difference in the scale of non -governmental education among provinces is still large in China, while the regional difference between eastern, western and central areas is not significant. Multiple regression analyses show that the input of national fiscal education expenditure to non - governmental schools as well as the percentage of private economy in provincial GDP has significant impact on the scale of non-governmental education. Besides, the publication of policies and regulations closely related to non-governmental education also influences its development in a limited way. A stepwise regression analysis shows that the current development mode of non-governmental education in China is both economy-oriented and policy -oriented. Corresponding suggestions are discussed in the study to promote a better future for non - governmental education in China |
