Zusammenfassung: | As the sixth stage of the development process of school improvement in the United States, evidence-based school improvement refers to improving low-performing schools based on the evidence tier of evidence-based educational research and through the five-step work cycle method, in order to achieve the purpose of improving educational quality and promoting educational equity. It is different from the previous five stages of school improvement in the United States in that: First of all, it relies on the theoretical guidance of improvement science in education. Secondly, it has policy support from the newly amended federal education law "Every Student Succeeds Act". Thirdly, it shows a development trend of forging ahead amidst opportunities and challenges. In a word, the new round of evidence-based school improvement in the United States is the product of the combined function of educational theory, educational policy, and educational practice.
