Zusammenfassung: | Scientization is an unfinished business of comparative education. At present, whether to serve national educational policy-making or to consolidate the knowledge base of the discipline, China's comparative education needs to initiate a process of scientization to enhance the utility of the "comparative methods" for causal analysis and educational theory-building. The scientization of comparative education is more possible today than in the past, when it was constrained by methodological and technological conditions as post-positivism provides a philosophical foundation for the scientization of comparative education; the era of big data provides a huge amount of data for comparative education research; and breakthroughs in comparative methods provide methodological and technological support for the scientization of comparative education.
