Zusammenfassung:A stator is proposed for a polyphase electric machine, having a core body, which is provided with slots, which are situated in the radial direction with respect to an axis of rotation of the electric machine on one side of the core body parallel to the longitudinal axis of the core body, having a slot width (bn, bn) and a stator yoke being provided on the opposite side, with two slots each being separated from one another by a tooth having a tooth width (bz, bz) and extending from a slot base to a tooth head, these slots being provided to receive at least one coil winding having a plurality of coils that is electrically connected in series and are manufactured from at least one continuous wire without interruption, the ratio (bz/hj) of the tooth width (bz) to the yoke height (hj) at the tooth head being between 0.3 and 0.8 and/or the ratio (bz/bn) of the tooth width (bz) at the tooth head to the slot width (bn) at the tooth head being between 0.3 and 3, and/or the ratio (mCu(slot)/mCu(total)) of the copper mass of the wire in the slot to the total copper mass of the wire being between 0.43 and 0.55.
