The bow string, which is aligned with the center of the sight opening extends through a slot in the block, the slot comprising first and second slot portions in a first face of the block, and a third slot portion in an opposite face of the block, the third slot portion being between the first and second slot portions with reference to the length of the slot. Tension in the string causes the string to tighten against the slot walls, thereby firmly securing the block to the string. |
