Process for sticking edging material onto lightweight building boards and a lightweight building board produced by means of said process

The invention relates to a process for sticking edging material onto lightweight building boards comprising two thin-walled outer layers and a core layer of lightweight filler material disposed between the outer layers, having the steps: provision of a lightweight building board, a decor edge and a stabilizing edge, and sticking on of the decor edge and/or the stabilizing edge in the region of a narrow surface of the lightweight building board. The process according to the invention is characterized in that at least the stabilizing edge comprises a synthetic fiber material, preferably a cellulose-based fiber material, particularly paperboard material.
