The display control circuit includes a panel driving section which drives the liquid crystal display panel after supply of power, a state detecting section which detects a display driving state that the panel driving section drives the liquid crystal display panel for display of a stable image corresponding to a video signal, and a light source driving section which drives the backlight in accordance with an illumination request signal, after detection of the display driving state by the state detecting section. |
