a bc abc A retainer for fixing terminals of springs to a round shaft of a seat frame for a seat is disclosed. Each of the terminals of the springs is formed into a substantially U-shape. The retainer includes a body of a substantially U-shape in cross-section which is adapted to be mounted on the round shaft , and pairs of first and second spring-engaging pieces bent laterally from both edges of the U-shaped body . The retainer is adapted to fix the substantially U-shaped terminals of the springs to the round shaft with the first and second spring-engaging pieces thereof being engaged with the substantially U-shaped terminals of the springs
