In one embodiment, the method includes: coding information about a signal waveform generated by a transmitter having sub-apertures; receiving a signal at a receiver having sub-apertures corresponding to the sub-apertures of the transmitter, wherein the received signal correlates to the signal waveform; decoding information about the signal waveform from the received signal; and, determining a data quad from the decoded information, wherein the data quad includes degrees of freedom associated with the transmitter. |
