The servo writer includes a driving mechanism for running a tape-shaped information recording medium, a servo pattern writing means for writing servo patterns on the running tape-shaped information recording medium, thereby forming servo bands thereon, and a tape edge forming mechanism for cutting evenly an edge of the running tape-shaped information recording medium, so that the edge becomes parallel to the servo bands. |
