Device and method for the surface treatment of workpieces

The invention relates to a device for the surface treatment of workpieces such as vehicle bodies. One such device has a plurality of successive treatment stations, a guiding system having a first guiding section extending in the region of the treatment stations, and a plurality of rotational mounts which can move individually on said guiding system. Each rotational mount has a holding device for at least one workpiece and a rotational axis which is arranged in such a way that the workpeice in the holding device can be brought into, or taken out of, one of the treatment stations by rotation about the rotational axis.
