Connecting element

The present invention provides a connecting element for releasably connecting a first and a second component particularly a lever with another lever or a brake pedal with the plunger rod in a motor vehicle. The connecting element comprises a connecting means which is attached to or part of a second component and a dome shaped sledge attached to a first component wherein the dome shaped sledge is latched in the connecting means by sliding from an assembling in a fastening position. Additionally, a connecting element is provided comprising preferred a two-piece connecting means attached to a pedal and a modulator, respectively, wherein a sledge frame is releasable latched in a housing. The connecting element enables a load transmission parallel to the assembling direction.
