aba, bba, bcThe invention relates to an axial piston engine comprising a housing wherein a cylinder drum is arranged. Several axially extending piston bores are embodied in the cylinder drum and arranged in such a way that they are distributed around the longitudinal center axis of the cylinder drum. Pistons are moveably guided in said bores and are supported by sliding shoes on a pivoting mounted on a transversely extending pivoting axis. A stop or a stop on both sides of the pivoting axis is/are provided in order to limit the pivoting movements of the pivoting plate. In order to stabilize the axial piston engine and provide it with a simple design, the stop or both stops are arranged on a sleeve-like supporting element which is supported by the inner covering surface of the inside of the housing.
