Friction clutch

A friction clutch with a pressure plate , which is mounted nonrotatably but with freedom of axial movement in a clutch housing , this pressure plate being actuated by a pressure spring in the direction toward a clutch disk , which can be clamped between the pressure plate and an opposing pressure plate . More-or-less radially pretensioned friction springs of a friction damping device are installed between the pressure plate and a component with respect to which the pressure plate can move in the axial direction. The friction springs are mounted on spacer bolts , which project axially from the clutch housing , these bolts passing through corresponding openings in a diaphragm spring, which serves as the pressure spring , the diaphragm spring being mounted on the spacer bolts in such a way that its plane can be tilted.
