Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to detecting and tracking evolution of new events and/or classes of documents in a large database, and more particularly relates to a method, a system, and a program product for detecting and tracking the evolution of the new events and/or classes of the documents in a very large database by simultaneously taking into account a temporal parameter such as time, a date, or a year and any combinations thereof in a vector modeled document. Detecting and tracking of new events/classes of documents are disclosed. A method for detecting new events and/or classes of documents and tracking evolution thereof in a database, said new events and/or classes of said documents being added to said database, said documents including attribute data related to a temporal parameter, said method includes the steps of providing vectors of said documents related to attribute data including said temporal parameter included therein, and detecting said new events and classes and tracking the evolution thereof using said vectors.
