Antiperspirant compositions containing film-forming polymers

The present invention relates to topical compositions which, when applied to the human body, provide an antiperspirant benefit to the user. Antiperspirant compositions for topical application are disclosed. These compositions show improved antiperspirant efficacy, while providing minimized skin residue as well as good skin feel when applied. These antiperspirant compositions comprise an effective amount of an antiperspirant active, from about 10% to about 60% of a topical carrier, and from about 0.5% to about 10% of a non-toxic, water-insoluble, occlusive film-forming polyester polymer.
