Peaking control for wideband laser driver applications

The present invention relates to a method and/or architecture for wide band amplifiers generally and, more particularly, to a method and/or architecture for laser driver amplifiers that employ a method of shaping or equalizing a high data rate output signal waveform that may be used in fiber optic transmitter applications. An apparatus comprising an amplifier and a coupling circuit. The amplifier may be configured to generate an amplified output signal in response to a first input signal and a second input signal. The coupling circuit may be configured to generate the second input signal in response to the first input signal. The coupling circuit may be configured to increase a speed of propagation of the first input signal.
