Field of the Invention A device for recording the fill level of a liquid inside a container in which an elongated, flexible tubular electrical contact element is arranged, one end area of which is provided with connections at which an electrical signal can be measured. Electrically conductive coatings are disposed on the inner surface of the contact element and facing towards one another, which coatings may be brought into contact with one another by means of a contact producing acquisition element which is disposed on the outside and is movable relative to the flexible contact element.
