Method of predicting the received power level at a base station of a CDMA network and base station implementing the method

The field of the invention is that of evaluating power levels in a cell of a mobile radio network, in particular to determine the load of that cell and to apply a call admission control procedure. The invention concerns in particular a method of predicting a power level received by a base station assuming admission of a candidate user by the base station. According to the invention, the method consists in allowing for the impact of introducing the candidate user on the status of the system, this impact being reflected in an increase in the individual power levels of all users served by the base station.
