Antisense modulation of estrogen receptor alpha expression

The present invention provides compositions and methods for modulating the expression of estrogen receptor alpha. In particular, this invention relates to compounds, particularly oligonucleotides, specifically hybridizable with nucleic acids encoding estrogen receptor alpha. Such compounds have been shown to modulate the expression of estrogen receptor alpha. Antisense compounds, compositions and methods are provided for modulating the expression of estrogen receptor alpha. The compositions comprise antisense compounds, particularly antisense oligonucleotides, targeted to nucleic acids encoding estrogen receptor alpha. Methods of using these compounds for modulation of estrogen receptor alpha expression and for treatment of diseases associated with expression of estrogen receptor alpha are provided.
