Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to the construction of glide boards and particularly to methods of mass distribution in a snowboard.
A snowboard () includes a body () formed from a primary core () reinforced by a structural layer () that wraps the primary core. A secondary core formed from first and second binding lifter plates () is disposed above the body and adhered thereto with an elastomeric layer (). A top layer () overlies the secondary core and the exposed portions of the body to integrate the secondary core into the snowboard. The snowboard further includes a bottom layer () reinforced with edge strips (). The integrated modular lifter plates provides additional leverage and vibration dampening at selected regions of the snowboard without significantly impacting the torsional and longitudinal flexibility of the center section () of the snowboard. |
